The Upgrade item is a unique evolution item that trainers can utilize to transform Porygon into Porygon2. This evolution requires an upgrade as well as an upgrade, Sinnoh Stone and 50 Porygon Candy.

Adding item upgrading to an item that is already equipped with a prefix or suffix upgrade will display the name of the resulting item as it would appear in game (for instance adding the Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can own up to three upgrade items at a time.
Glyphs
Glyphs are a useful addition to any item, since they provide a variety of unique advantages and boosts. Some Glyphs can also increase the number of affixes on an item, increasing the overall power of the item. These glyphs can be obtained by working through the dungeons. They can also be found in specific World Tier 3 zones. It's important to remember that glyphs are only available to players who have created a dungeon that has the same level of depth.
To make use of a Glyph you first have to create it using components and then connect them using anchors. The component will then automatically align itself to other components or paths within the same layer. If you don't wish to create the glyph from components, you can create it by combining paths and anchors. Then, drag an element near an element highlighted to lock it in place.
Certain glyphs require certain requirements to be fulfilled, such as 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs also require a certain number of Primary Stat nodes to be activated which is sometimes difficult to achieve. Some glyphs have a radius that increases as you move it up.

Some glyphs can also be applied to restricted use tools, like the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. The addition of these glyphs will be counted towards the Combat Mechanic achievement.
The most popular glyphs used in the game are the attack ones, which increase Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed amount. They are especially beneficial for ranged classes such as Warriors and Rogues. The Exploit Glyph can make enemies who strike the Hero vulnerable to damage.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are used to reroll results that are rolled during an Action. They are removed when the reroll happens. Reroll tokens can be gained in a variety of ways, such as through raids, dungeons, and skirmishes. You can also purchase them at the shop or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons or trials because they let players play a reroll of rewards of the final chest.

Three types of upgrade coins are available in the game - the reroll, the randomly generated, and upgrade. Each type comes with a couple of subtypes.
